Fishing is a big sport on Tellico Lake, located in Vonore, TN, with fifty-one different species of fish being found swimming in the pristine waters. Some of the most popular sport fish include largemouth bass, smallmouth bass, spotted bass, striped bass, bluegill, black crappie, white crappie, rainbow trout, and many more.

Tellico River

Nationally recognized as a premier trout stream, the Tellico River is a free stream located within the heart of the Cherokee National Forest. Its headwaters begin in North Carolina and flow for almost twenty miles to Tellico Plains. The main stream of the river is heavily stocked by the state and requires a special permit to fish.

Green Cove offers 5 acres of still water fishing specifically set aside for the people with disabilities, children under 12, and adults over 65. This small lake is stocked to the brim weekly with brown and rainbow trout. More Information →
