Off Road Adventures

If you like off-roading, Monroe County is the place for you! We have plenty of trails and routes for people who enjoy taking their motorcycles and ATVs off the paved paths. Check out our friends at Tellico Overland Adventure Destination. Their campground is perfect for people going on off road adventures.

Spanning nearly 500 miles of back roads and dirt roads across three states, the Smokey Mountain 500 consists of three days of motorcycle riding and camping. Part of the route passes through Tellico Plains on Mecca Pike and Highway 68. A full map can be downloaded at ADVTracks.
Maps can also be found at onX.

Off-roading in Cherokee National Forest is subject to change. Call the Ranger Station at (423) 253-8400 or visit them at 250 Ranger Station Rd, Tellico Plains for more information before you plan your journey.
